Go Canada Go!

It's been a bit difficult to keep up with the Winter Olympics this time due to the 8 hour difference. Obviously I'm mainly interested in the Canadian progress especially as these games are on home soil. However, living in England, the BBC are focusing on the Brits out there, and so they should.

Tonight is the Woman's Ice Hockey Final and we've stayed up to watch it. It turns out that the BBC is only showing the first Period! ARRRRRRGGGG! They're then going on to show nearly 2 hours of Men's curling, and the Brits are no longer involved, and it won't be live as they're already in End 7! This of course makes me very sad. I would love to stay up and watch the whole game but it doesn't seem to be on the cards for us.

Well, regardless I will enjoy what I can and am wearing my Canadian Spirit with Pride.

I'm having the same problem! "Canada Gold" on at 9:30pm on Channel 9 here only shows highlights and interviews. There's some coverage during the day, but of course I'm at work. I did manage to catch the last half of the 3rd period of our mens' hockey game against Russia, though, one lunch break.

I don't see any plans for the network to broadcast live coverage of the mens' hockey this weekend, so I'll have to attempt live streaming from the internet!

I think you can watch it on the internet? Maybe?

I live on Vancouver Island but root for all the atheletes. I think they are especially wonderful young people, and just being so dedicated and getting to the Olympics is reason to celebrate. But of course, I take a certain delight when the women's hockey team win!

Hope you get to see all you want.

I watched more hockey in the last little while than I've watched in years. Both the gold games were phenomenal; we watched partly recorded and partly live; and, of course, we watched Canadian coverage not American. So glad we have time shifting availability on our system.
Love you.
